Salming RECOIL TRAIL 2

The Salming RECOIL TRAIL 2 men’s running shoe is new for Autumn, 2023 The completely redesigned upper construction continues to be based on the comfortable and stable Recoil cushioning foam and, most importantly, the unique Vibram MegaGrip outsole.

Compared to the previous generation, the Trail 2 has received a completely new upper that solidly reduced its weight and increased the already optimal mix of comfort and functionality. The focus of this model is still to be the most versatile trail shoe, which you don't have to be afraid to wear for a long run in the mountains and for a shorter run through the autumn splash in the "urban jungle".

The upper of this latest generation of trail shoes combines two perfectly complementary layers to form a compact, lightweight unit. The strong and highly breathable knit that forms the base layer is overlapped by a second layer of several polyurethane panels that are thermally welded to the first layer, minimizing the risk of abrasions from the quilted joints. This second outer layer has a protective and stabilising function.

The most important part of the Trail 2 remains the Vibram outsole, which works perfectly with the cushioning layer made up of premium Recoil™ foam. The Vibram MegaGrip sole itself has a not-too-high tread pattern, which adds to the versatility of the shoe, and most importantly, a unique grip that will support you even in really slippery conditions. The Recoil™ cushioning layer is then primarily responsible for your comfort. Although it's cushioned enough for really long runs, you don't have to worry about it not being ideally stable and offering active push off at the same time.
