The trousers are made of panels of 3 different types of fabrics with different properties - 1. water-resistant highly breathable fabric, 2. waterproof fabric, 3. waterproof fabric with a high water column (seat section) and the front part from the knee down. These areas are chosen precisely so that the water-resistant panels cover the parts most prone to getting wet (the buttocks, where water splashes from the rear wheel, or when sitting on a wet surface), and the front part below the knee, where water splashes from the front wheel.
