I nline pads and protective gear Zealot

Inline protectors ensure high protection and safety not only when skating but also when cycling, riding a scooter, or skateboarding. Don’t forget to protect your wrists, elbows, knees, and head. We recommend wearing complete protective gear, including an inline helmet.

How to choose inline skating protectors?

You probably already know how little it takes to lose balance on narrow wheels and end up scraping yourself on the rough asphalt instead of enjoying a smooth ride. The most common injuries involve the hands, knees, and elbows. For greater protection, it’s crucial to safeguard your head with a well-chosen helmet.

Choose protectors that make you feel not only safe but also comfortable. We’re happy to assist you in selecting the right ones.

We especially recommend purchasing full protective gear for children who are just starting to skate and haven’t yet mastered their coordination. Frequent falls and scrapes could quickly discourage them from further skating adventures.

Helmet

A helmet is a must!

  • For longer, leisurely rides, choose a helmet with ventilation holes.
  • For aggressive skating or ramps, opt for a closed, durable helmet.
  • If you sweat a lot while skating, select a helmet with a removable inner lining that can be easily washed.
Choose the helmet size based on your head circumference and try it on carefully in the store.

Wrist protectors

Hands are the most vulnerable in falls.

  • Wrist guards with a plastic piece on the underside prevent scrapes.
  • If the plastic piece is also on the top, the guards provide wrist stability and reduce the risk of injury.

Knee and elbow protectors

These joints naturally bend while skating, so anatomically shaped protectors are essential.

  • The plastic outer shell shields against scrapes and hard impacts.
  • Foam padding absorbs shock—thicker padding provides better cushioning but limits joint mobility.

Protector size

Choosing the right size is easy—use your clothing size as a reference.

  • For children, protectors are often labeled by age group or size:
    • XXS: up to 7 years old
    • XS: 7–10 years old
    • S: older children
