All HAVEN sports sunglasses (except those with photochromic lenses that adjust their tint) use polarized lenses, which have the unique ability to block distracting light reflected from horizontal surfaces (wet roads, snow, water surfaces). This makes the view through polarized sunglasses clearer, allowing you to see a wide range of details (horizontal road markings, objects beneath the water surface, etc.) and reduces eye strain caused by glare. This helps your eyes relax and enables quicker reactions to external stimuli or dangerous situations when needed. More info on the polarization function: It is based on the natural polarization of "normal" light when reflected off horizontal surfaces. Such reflected light rays are predominantly polarized parallel to the surface, while light coming directly from the sun or most other light sources is not polarized. Polarized sunglasses are designed so that their polarizing filter only allows light polarized perpendicular to the reflective surface to pass through (which is largely eliminated upon reflection) and blocks any reflected polarized light rays, as well as approximately 50% of natural light that is horizontally polarized. As a result, polarized sunglasses can never be completely clear, as the polarizing filter itself absorbs about half of the light energy. Snow and water surfaces absorb only a small amount of light, reflecting most of it, which can significantly increase the intensity of light entering your eyes, even when using regular sunglasses. Drivers – Looking through polarized sunglasses significantly reduces glare on the road, especially when it's wet after rain and direct sunlight hits it. They allow you to recognize objects on the road (markings, oncoming cars, pedestrians, or other obstacles) earlier, significantly increasing safety for you and other road users. Additionally, polarized sunglasses block light reflections on the windshield, improving visibility of the dashboard. The NIB model in all color variants comes with a frame insert that can be easily secured into the sunglasses frame. It can, of course, be repeatedly removed and reattached. It fits securely, making it suitable for sports.
