What terrain do you ride most of the time?

Right at the beginning, decide what terrain do you mostly ride. If you preffer whole day skiing, then the suitable skis are the so called universal ski, that can handle both, groomed slope, and the afternoon softer surface.

3. Experiences

What is your performance level?

Underestimating or overestimating of your own experience can result in selection of unsuitable model. Therefore ask yourself an honest question, am I a beginner, advanced, or expert skier? Do not forget that large part of selection is your weight. If you are a heavier skier, but recreational, it is necessary to select a ski of stiffer character from higher category.

4. Arc Length

What arch do you prefer?

If you preffer to play around and you enjoy quick changes in turns, then select shorter cut or slalom ski. If you like fater ride and you have training, then you will be interested in ski for longer turn "giant slalom ski". Most skier choose universal skis, that combine short and long turns.
