For what ski style are you choosing?
Skis intended for running with classic technique on groomed trail. They are characterized by more pronounced tip with sharper top for smooth movement after strong push. Another characteristics is larger arch of cambering in the wax pocket. This along with optimal weight on ski creates ideal conditions for proper technical push. Recommended length is from 15 to 20 cm more than the person's height.
Skis intended for free style, also known as skating. They are characterized by indistinct tip, reinforced edges and smaller camber arch. Recommended length is 5 to 10 cm longer than the height of the skier.
If you are a recreational skier who wants to try both techniques, but does not want to invest in both ski pairs, the so called combi ski are the ideal choice. Their attributes are a compromise between classic and skate ski. Optimal length of ski is approximately 10 cm longer than height of the skier.
Ski with ascend support are suitable for begginer up to slightly sport skiers. The ascend chamber area at the base of these skis has roughened scales or various types of grips that do not require waxing, thus forgoing the alchemy with selecting suitable wax types.
Classic base that requires proper waxing of ascend chamber. These ski are faster that scaled ski and therefore more suitable for experienced users. You can find more information on how to take care of such base in our advice centre.
Are you looking for a complet set or just the skis?
Selecting skis in a set with binding gurantees proper compatibility.
If you already own bindings, than it is possible to use them on new skis without bindings. Ensure you get a montage in specialized servis, whre you have a gurantee of correct baland and function.
What type of binding do you prefer?
Bindings from Rottefella Company with an axle and two guiding grooves. In tourist version they are available as step-in which the skier can step-out of only using a pole. In higher categories we can find them in non-step-in form. We can also differentiate between universal bindings and special ones intended for classic or skate with different hardness of the rubber flexor in the front of the binding. The grooves firmly hold the boot in its place and allow for perfect control over the ski.
TURNAMIC® bindings and plates with a trapeze and two longitudinal guide grooves, which provides a higher level of performance. TURNAMIC® bindings are based on existing standards as they are compatible with the globally established NNN® profile.
